CREW Calgary has been very busy the first few months of 2010. We kicked off the year with a tremendously successful membership drive that saw many new faces to CREW from our industry. We were fortunate to have Pamela Jeffery of the Women's Executive Network speak to us about the importance of networking. Janice Beaton, of Janice Beaton Fine Cheese, of course, brought her delicious cheeses for all to enjoy and impressed us all with her inspirational story of success as an entrepreneur. She impressed upon us the importance of taking chances and believing in your dreams. And of course what goes best with cheese, but wine! David Walker of 100 Wines not only came and sampled some of his selected wines but graciously donated a case for ample tasting. Lastly if the generosity of Calgary businesses was not already obvious, Rise Bakery & Cafe also donated delicious breads to complete the spread. A fabulous evening was shared by all and was just a taste of what CREW Calgary is all about.

We hold regular monthly member only breakfast meetings, better known as Breakfast Banter, and it is a perfect setting to network and get to know fellow CREW members on a more personal level. Planning is well underway for various events throughout the year including educational events, the annual golf tournament, and the members’ only holiday event.

While our membership initiatives are well underway we are focused on growing our membership with fellow industry members and educating them on the benefits of membership with a fabulous group of talented Real Estate professionals.

I look forward to serving as CREW Calgary President for the rest of this year and being continually impressed with the talent that surrounds me!
