Alberta's Economy in a COVID-19 World

Tuesday, May 19, 2020

Join us on a virtual discussion on Alberta's current economic conditions during the COVID-19 crisis.

As Alberta’s economy stumbled out of 2019, this year was expected to be a slight improvement. However, the COVID-19 crisis has dealt both the global economy a severe blow, as well as Alberta's. To make matters worse, the situation is changing almost daily, making forecasting particularly difficult. What do we know for sure about the crisis? What don’t we know? And for Alberta, are there any future opportunities that could present themselves as our economy adjusts to totally new realities?

Todd Hirsch, Vice President and Chief Economist for ATB financial will share his perspective on what we know and what we don't know and what opportunities could present themselves as our economy adjusts to these new realities.
