10th Anniversary Gala Wrap Up

We gathered to celebrate the 10th Anniversary of CREW Calgary. The Gala combined the commemoration of CREW Calgary’s ten years of operation together with the merriment of the holidays.
The event began at 6:00 pm at the ENMAX conservatory at the Calgary Zoo. A selection of appetizers and drinks were available, and the event had an exciting Las Vegas theme. Feather boas were provided to past presidents and poker shaped lapel pins were provided to the sponsors to wear.
The essential component of the Vegas theme was the Aces R Wild fun casino. Attendees were provided $50,000 fun money to gamble at an assortment of games including craps, blackjack and poker.
A photographer captured this fun event and attempted to get shots of past Presidents, the Board each of the Committees. A fun photo booth was provided with props, allowing guests to take away a photo of their photo booth fun.
The Casino closed at 9:30 PM and the dollars were counted. There were three gift card prizes for the attendees with the most fun money at the end of the night.
On the way out, guests were able to take home a gift bag. These included lovely candles made by the One Love Community Co. with 10% of the profits going to Kiva. The candles were candy cane, sugar cookie, apple cider or non-scented. As a final thank you for such a wonderful evening, each bag contained a pamphlet on CREW, supporting women and our sponsors.
