President's Message

It’s been an exciting year for CREW Calgary and as we’re approaching the end of the year, I’d like to reflect upon the success we’ve had as a Chapter so far. Starting 2011 with 48 members, we have grown to 63 and have a very diversified and talented membership across all disciplines in commercial real estate. Our members have had wonderful opportunities for education, leadership and networking at various functions throughout the year and we’ve been able to highlight and profile some of our members accomplishments and careers at these events.

We’re very excited to have Christina Smith, Olympian as a guest presenter at our Annual General Meeting held on November 1st. Christina is one of the world's pioneers in women’s sports, making history for Canada by being the first Canadian Bobsleigh pilot to compete in the first ever Olympic Winter Games for Women’s Bobsleigh in 2002. Christina was integral for advancing women in sport so come join us and listen to her passion and triumph shine through!

I hope to see you all at the AGM, as we celebrate and highlight our achievements in 2011, elect our Board members for 2012 and welcome our incoming President, Susan Carter.

CREW Calgary is proud to support the Walk-in-Closet again this year. This is an outstanding organization that helps women in need that are entering the business community to work with fashion consultants and counselors. Please bring new or gently used business clothing and accessories to the AGM and help out our future leaders.

See you soon!
