Crew Spotlight: Lindsay Gurevitch, Interior Design and Partner at Manasc Isaac
Lindsay started practicing interior design with Manasc Isaac 11 years ago, an integrated architectural, engineering and interior design firm that leads in Sustainable and Innovative Design. 4 years ago, she pushed the Edmonton-based company to expand into the Calgary Market, and in 2016, Manasc Isaac opened an office in Romania (that’s a whole other story!).
This year, she became the firm’s youngest (and only Interior Designer) Partner, joining the firm’s 6 other Architect and Engineer Partners. She has spent the majority of her career managing ground up construction, facilitating design
conversations for both architectural and interior design projects, as well developing strategies that combine her past education in people behavior, psychology, and innovative environments. She has worked with her team to develop the Reimagine Initiative, which looks to “transform existing buildings into Healthy, Sustainable, and Energy Efficient Buildings.”
In better understanding these transformations, Lindsay pushes the boundaries of design through a Healthy Interior platform, and the Activity Based Working model of design, aiming to increase productivity through fingerprinted workplace solutions, reducing unused excess square footage, while providing a beautiful, usable healthy places to work, live and play.
We also asked Lindsay a couple of questions to get to know her better:
CREW: What do you like about CREW / what business connections or things have happened as a result of being a member.
Lindsay: What I enjoy the most about CREW are the opportunities to connect with a variety of women (and men) doing really incredible work. I find it to be highly inspirational to hear about the projects that all the people in the room are working on, and that everyone is so ready to share their stories of both failure, and success! What a great network to learn from, build on and grow from!
CREW: Who would play you in a movie ? or what actress would you think would be cast to play you?
Lindsay: Oh man… Reese Witherspoon? In my younger years I probably had that “Legally Blonde” hair flip down pat!
