Our member spotlight is focused on another CREW Member this week - Eve Renaud, Vice President, Rencor Developments Inc.
Thank you Eve, for taking the time to answer a few questions about yourself. . .
What is your typical work day like?
Every day is completely different and have no idea what to expect. This is what I like most about our business; we are a small group, so the day could consist of proposing to new retailers for our projects, dealing with municipalities on our current applications, or just putting out fires!
Is there something you are working on right now that you are particularly excited about or interested in? If not, maybe you could share something in the past that was memorable for you?
Our major project is a new development, Bingham Crossing, located in Springbank. The first phase will be a 300,000 ft2 retail lifestyle centre with a seniors community. We are hoping to open fall 2019.
What you love about CREW or connections you have made since you joined?
I love CREW for the approachability of events and within the membership. I have developed lifelong friendships and business relationships as part of CREW, especially once I was on the board and committees.
If someone was to play you in a movie, who would you cast?
I wouldn't say it would be an actor, but rather a cartoon character in an animated film: Puss In Boots. I'm really good at giving people the benefit of the doubt and have lots of patience (i.e. the kitten eyes) but if things get tough, or if I hit my boiling point, I pounce in to action!
