Board Member Profile: Lindsay Gurevitch, Director

I am a practicing interior designer and partner at Manasc Isaac, an integrated architectural, engineering and interior design firm that leads in Sustainable and Innovative Design. Having been with the firm now for 11 years, I have worked through the ranks of fresh student, technologist, initiative and strategy leader, team and project leader, team mentor, and now Partner where I am fully involved in the day to day business, and overall management / growth / success of the firm. With a staff of 60 between offices in Edmonton, Calgary, and Bucharest, it's been a learning curve! I sit additionally on the Concessions and Exhibits Committee for the Calgary Stampede, as well I am on the Board of Directors for the Food, Water Wellness Foundation. I have twice started new office locations for a firm that is HQ in Edmonton, specifically because I appreciate the challenge of working for a goal. Both starts, were my own initiation because I have seen opportunity.
I have been a member of the events planning committee for the past 4 years, and this summer enjoyed assisting a smaller sub committee in brainstorming new events for the 2018 year. Over the past few years as I've been growing my own company, I have made every effort to be available to attend events. Early on to my involvement with CREW, I recognized that in making solid connections it was really up to me to reach out and connect to develop relationships, and seek out alignments. As such, I have made a point of selecting CREW contacts each month, as a means to reach out for coffee and to better get to know each member.
What I enjoy the most about CREW are the opportunities to connect with a variety of women (and men) doing really incredible work. I find it to be highly inspirational to hear about the projects that all the people in the room are working on, and that everyone is so ready to share their stories of both failure, and success! What a great network to learn from, build on and grow from! I am so pleased to put my experience to work for CREW and to let my name stand for the 2018 Board of Directors.
