I began my real estate valuation career in Vancouver in 2006 before moving to Calgary in 2013. At that time, I joined Linnell Taylor Lipman, now Avison Young Valuation & Advisory Services, as a commercial appraiser. While in the private sector, I was involved in projects focusing on consulting and appraisal of a wide array of property types including: single and multiple occupant retail, office, and industrial properties, multi-family residential properties, public institutional properties, and land under a variety of use contexts. I also have extensive experience working on acquisition/disposition and expropriation related appraisal files for various government authorities. My clients have included federal, provincial and municipal governments, transit authorities, pension funds and institutional investors, asset managers, developers, financial institutions, legal professionals and private investors.

In 2017, I left the private sector to pursue a new opportunity with the Government of Canada where I now hold a senior position valuing federal real estate assets across Western Canada.

I hold a Bachelor of Arts (Communications) degree and Graduate Diploma Business Administration from Simon Fraser University, as well as, a Diploma Urban Land Economics from the University of British Columbia. I was awarded the AACI, P.App designation from the Appraisal Institute of Canada in 2010.

I am actively involved in the appraisal and real estate community, and hold a number of leadership positions including: Secretary of the Appraisal Institute of Canada Calgary Municipal Liaison Community; Member of the Alberta Expropriation Association; and have been an active member of CREW Calgary’s Membership Committee since joining CREW in 2013. After a year of record membership growth in 2017, I am excited to continue as Co-chair of the Membership Committee for 2018 with Krista Nauss.
