Profile: Krista Nauss, Co-Chair Membership Committee

I began my career in commercial real estate mortgage brokerage in 1997 and then realized that managing properties long term was more of my interest. Over the last 20 years I have held a variety of roles with Landlords and third party commercial property owners, all in the capacity of property management or leasing. Previous employers include Cadillac Fairview, smaller local commercial property owners, the City of Calgary, and Colliers. I am currently managing downtown offices for CREIT.
Through the years I have gained knowledge on asset value, managing all types of assets from retail, industrial, and office locally as well as in the USA. I am skilled at creating budgets and plans centered around sustainability, driving down costs in our largest expense areas (tax, energy, contracts) and continually looking for ways to increase property values.
I have a Bachelor of Business Administration from St. Francis Xavier University, a RPA designation from BOMA and I hold the designation of Certified Property Manager. Further, I am LEED AP certified and hold an Alberta Real Estate License with RECA.
I have been a member of CREW since 2007 and have been on the Membership Committee almost entirely during that time minus two maternity leaves. I look forward to continuing the direction that we have established over the past few years under the guidance of the Board and past Chairs
Karen Price and Lori Suba. I am also excited to work again with Suzanne Clarke for the 2018 year.
