Headshot 2018 Suba LHello All,

Spring has officially sprung in Calgary – hooray for warmer weather and green grass!  Such a welcome change.

Speaking of change, I recently started a new role as Director, Leasing at PBA Land & Development.  Switching jobs can be tough; however, the support I received from my fellow CREW members during this transition has made all the difference in the world.  Thank you, CREW Calgary and our amazing members, for your words of advice and support.  CREW Calgary is such a fantastic source of positive energy, our members care very much for one another and it shows!

The CREW Calgary Board has been very busy this quarter.  I’m proud to report that we are in the process of finalizing and approving our three-year strategic plan, which has been be posted to our website HERE.

Through our strategic planning exercise, we reaffirmed our commitment to advancing the Calgary commercial real estate industry by elevating women as leaders.  The Board is thrilled to have started work to support this initiative through the development and roll out of a Mentorship program in 2020.

You should see the call out shortly for mentorship committee task force members.  I encourage those who are passionate about mentorship to step forward to help us develop the best mentorship program possible.

We have some outstanding events planned for Q2 including our annual New Members Welcome, our Public Speaking Workshop in April and our panel on Affordable Housing slated for June.

Our Golf Committee is doing a phenomenal job planning our upcoming ‘Diamonds in the Rough’ Annual Golf Tournament which will be a showstopping sell-out again this year.

Membership is making great strides and we are well underway for another record year!

Our Marketing Committee always does such an amazing job with our website and social media campaigns.  Be sure to check out our very cool Instagram page!!

And then there is Sponsorship….wow!  This committee has had an amazing year so far, thank you to committee members for all your hard work and commitment to moving the needle.

I look forward to seeing you all out at an upcoming event!

Volunteering on a committee is an excellent way to get the most out of your CREW membership and meet some amazing people along the way – if you’re interested, please feel free to reach out to me.

Happy Spring!

Lori
