Making Changes Volunteer Nights Recap

CREW Calgary hosted its annual Making Changes Volunteer Nights on November 13th and 14th. Volunteers had the valuable opportunity to give back to the community while enjoying networking with other members and the delicious catering by Perfect Parties.
Volunteers received a tour of the group’s Walk-in Closet and My Best Friend’s Closet operations which are aimed at helping women and teenage girls in need by providing essential clothing ensembles for them. The professional outfits provided the women in need will help them tremendously in obtaining work. Making Changes also operates a Women in Technology program which provides technology training, employment and life skills training, and practicums to help women in pursuing a career in the technology sector.
After the overview of the Making Changes organization, volunteers separated into groups to sort, steam and displayed the clothing generously donated from individuals and retailers throughout the city.
