An Update on CREW Calgary's Events during COVID-19

Wednesday, Apr 22, 2020

There is no question that the last month has had an unprecedented impact on the way we work, live and play.  CREW Calgary, together with each of our members, is pivoting and learning to adapt to our new normal, and while there is uncertainty of when the pressures of this pandemic will be resolved, we are certain we all will come out of this stronger and more resilient than ever!

We want to thank all of you who took the time to complete our survey giving us insight into how we can help you during this time.  There were overriding themes of a desire for real estate industry content, wellness information and social connections, and we plan to deliver.

Here is how we plan to do this.  We have revamped our events for April and May, moving to a virtual platform.  You will see three different series arising.  First, we will be launching an “Industry Insight Series” where organizations in different sectors of our industry will share how COVID-19 has impacted their business, how they are pivoting to address these times and their views on the sector coming out of COVID-19.  Stay tuned for announcements on this series.

Second, we will be launching a “Wellness Series” to support the physical and emotional well-being of our members.  Our first Wellness Series will be a conversation with Registered Dietitian and Integrative Nutritionist, Dayna Zarn on Tuesday, April 28th at noon.

And last but certainly not least, “Thirsty Thursdays” will be held biweekly, commencing Thursday April 30th from 4-6pm, to quench your thirst for social connection with your fellow CREW Calgary members.

Moving to a virtual platform has also allowed us the opportunity to connect with our fellow Canadian CREW Chapters from coast to coast – Crew Vancouver, Edmonton CREW, CREW Saskatoon, Toronto CREW, CREW Montreal and CREW Nova Scotia – as well as CREW Network as a whole.  As you would have seen last week, we joined Edmonton CREW for a leadership education seminar and we hope to continue these collaborations in the coming months on various days of the week and times in order to give as much opportunity for all members both local and national to interconnect, so stay tuned for these sessions.
