CREW Calgary - Foundation Update

CREW Calgary’s members and community have been extremely generous this year, which has allowed us to meet our 2021 trifecta goals. We are so thankful to those who have donated to CREW Foundation.

There is still more work to do, and we know that CREW Calgary is up to the challenge.

Lift as We Rise

An opportunity to reach back and lift up women in commercial real estate

Climbing the career ladder can be more like climbing a mountain. There can be setbacks, struggles and stumbles at every turn. Add in a global pandemic or an economic downturn to the mix—or pervasive barriers such as gender bias and microaggressions—and career advancement becomes more like Mt. Everest for women.

According to the 2020 CREW Network benchmark study, women’s top barriers to advancement in commercial real estate are:

Lack of promotion opportunity
Gender discrimination
Lack of company mentor or sponsor

Here’s how you can help—and why we need your support now. CREW Network Foundation and CREW Network Foundation Canada fund scholarships, programs and services that directly support women in the industry. Donate to the Lift As We Rise Campaign to help women overcome these barriers and rise in their careers. We can’t wait for another avalanche or barrier to get in the way—give today.
