Event Recap: Effectively Negotiating Your Compensation

On Thursday, March 30th, CREW Calgary hosted a virtual workshop featuring The Thoughtful Co. and how to effectively negotiate your compensation at work.

Jillian Climie and Sophie Warwick, Co-Founders of The Thoughtful Co., together provided us with an insightful and informative presentation with facts surrounding gender pay inequality, and more importantly, tips, tools and strategies to confidently and effectively negotiate a compensation structure that matches your value within your organization.

Part of the workshop included a 5-minute breakout session into smaller groups. These groups were encouraged to share their own personal experiences with negotiating compensation, including examples and learnings of past challenges and successes. It was an effective part of the workshop that made attendees reflect, share and connect with fellow CREW members.
