I have been a member of CREW since 2010 and have had the privilege to participate on the Board of Directors. It has been a pleasure to be part of such a strong organization dedicated to supporting women in commercial real estate.
As the 2014 President of CREW Calgary chapter, I had the opportunity to lead the local Board of Directors to implement and create new initiatives, while growing my network in the US through CREW Network. CREW Calgary has definitely expanded my professional network since my industry (Retail Shopping Centres) is such a specialized and small component of the overall commercial real estate industry.
In September 2015, following my maternity leave after giving birth to twin girls, I re-joined the family business at Rencor Developments Inc. In my role as Vice President, I will be involved in the Leasing and Development of our new retail projects.
In 2013, I re- joined 20 VIC Management Inc. as Director of Retail Leasing for the CORE in Downtown Calgary. I was involved in permanent retail leasing to local, national and international retailers, and contributing to the overall strategic vision of the property. Prior to this role, I worked at Chinook Centre (Cadillac Fairview) for just over 5 years as Property Manager and Assistant GM. I had the opportunity and honour to be part of Chinook’s 180,000 sf expansion project, to help facilitate over 200 new store openings and to be part of the Target and Nordstrom redevelopment projects.
After graduating from the University Of Calgary- Haskayne School Of Business, I obtained my Bachelor of Commerce with a concentration in Entrepreneurship and Innovation. This allowed me to kick start my career in Shopping Centre management where I worked in Vancouver, BC with Ivanhoe Cambridge Inc. at Metropolis at Metrotown from 2004-2006 as Retail Coordinator at the time of the mall’s extensive redevelopment project. I then returned to Calgary to act as Regional Property Manager for Westbrook Mall and Marlborough Mall (2006-2008) with 20 VIC. I started my career in Commercial Real Estate while in University, working as an Executive Assistant to my father, Ron Renaud at Rencor Developments. There, I learned the basics and fundamentals of Commercial Real Estate which helped me start my career.
In addition to CREW Calgary, I am a member of ICSC (International Council of Shopping Centres). I always enjoy a nice game of golf in the mountains, hitting a couple of tennis balls and travelling.
