Brookfield Residential is adding another community to its roster in Calgary: Livingston. The newest community will be an innovative focal point in the city, with over 30,000 residents at full build-out. Livingston is located on Centre Street and 144th Avenue North, bridging both east and west quadrants of the city. Overlooking Calgary, it will break down barriers and bring people together. With approximately 20 acres of environmental reserve, a dynamic urban corridor with retail and work options, as well as the terminus of the future Green Line, it’s a community that will raise the bar for Calgary.

It’s the first Area Structure Plan approved under the city’s new Municipal Development Plan, showcasing just what Calgary can be in the future. When fully built-out, Livingston will have more than 11,000 homes in a broad range of housing types, with more than 6,500 single family and 4,500 multi-family homes available.

“We plan to have our first lot sales to our builder partners in 2016, where they will start show home construction and likely start some preliminary sales activity,” says Jessie Seymour, senior marketing manager.

“(Livingston) will bring a wide spectrum of homes,” says Seymour. “As Brookfield has been in the past and moving forward, we certainly are focused on affordability but also providing the quality product the market is asking for.”

Phase 1 builders include a move-up segment of Jayman Built, Cedarglen Homes and Morrison Homes. Cedarglen and Jayman will also be part of a zero lot line move-up offering. Rounding out the single-family selection are laned homes by Morrison and Brookfield Residential. On the multi-family side, Homes by Avi will have street towns, Brookfield Residential will bring townhomes and apartment-style condos will come through Avi Urban.
