CREW Calgary’s Annual Volunteer Night was at capacity again this year and the fortunate individuals in attendance enjoyed an evening of giving back to the community!

We excitedly heard about the recent developments Making  Changes has undergone in the past year, including securing a new space directly next door for their sister operation, their hugely successful pilot of a new Women in Technology Training Program  and helping record numbers of local women and young ladies who simply need a leg up.

After the overview of the Making Changes organization, our group was split between The Walk-In Closet, the main shop for women looking to enter the workforce and My Best Friend’s Closet, a sister store that caters to teens. Both operations work directly with the Calgarian women and teens in need, outfitting them twice a year with a suitable wardrobe at no cost to the recipients.

Hors d'oeuvres were provided by Perfect Parties and the hours flew by while CREW ladies sorted, steamed and displayed the clothing, generously donated from individuals and retailers throughout the City.

Our events team wants to say thank you to everyone who attended the first event of the year and donated their time to such a worthwhile cause!
