AMA Series: Emergency Preparedness Planning

Wednesday, Jan 24, 2024

Preparation well before an event is the key component for making it through any size disaster. Join CREW Calgary for 2024’s first Ask-Me-Anything event to learn how to be prepared when an emergency happens.

Whether it’s a small water leak, a large fire, or a catastrophe such as a flood, every business should consider the types of emergencies most likely to happen where your business is located, have written plans in place to deal with these emergencies, and make sure that employees are thoroughly familiar with these plans.

An urgent need for rapid decisions, shortage of time, and lack of resources and trained personnel can lead to chaos during an emergency. Time and circumstances in an emergency mean that normal channels of authority and communication cannot be relied upon to function routinely. The stress of the situation can lead to poor judgment resulting in severe losses. A well thought-out, well-organized emergency response plan will help to eliminate these issues.

Since emergencies will occur, preplanning is necessary. Join Melissa Kesegic with Paul Davis Restoration to discuss what should be included in your Emergency Plan to ensure your business continuity.
